Re: RHEL/CentOS 7 support
Any update on when the kernel will be ready for CentOS7? I enabled the test repo, but don't see a newer kernel. # yum update kernel Loaded plugins: fastestmirror asl-4.0-testing | 3.4 kB 00:00:00 Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * asl-4.0-testing: www8.atomicorp.com * tortix: www8.atomicor...

Another instance of ASL appears to be running...
Hi All, After I upgraded to asl-2.0 I now get lots of Spawned 'ossec-dbd' with '/sbin/service ossec-hids restart' emails. I want to make sure my policy is in sync, so I run asl -s -f But I get: Error: Another instance of ASL appears to be running, exiting... [root@www1 ~]# ps aux |grep asl root 1550...

Re: ld can't find mysqlclient SOLVED
Hi All,
I had to remove mysql-devel.i386 and then install mysql-devel.x86_64.
And now I can compile my c daemon. NICE!
Thanks to markkuk at the centos forums.

Re: ld can't find mysqlclient
I notice one thing. I am trying to install the 32 bit msyql-devel, but there is a conflict with the 64 bit version. I thought that maybe this will allow my program to complile. Any ideas? ld can't find mysqlclient
Hi All, I wrote a daemon in c. The last time I successfully compiled it was in June of 09. Now I want to make a change, but the program will not compile. I get the following error: gcc -O3 -ftree-vectorize -W -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wundef -o mydaemon `mysql_...

duh. ok
I see that asl is the Atomic Secure Linux package. I am guessing that I am getting this dependency break now because I manually installed mod_security.
So, I suspect I could fix it by removing the atomicrocketturtle repository in /etc/yum.conf.
But instead, I think I will invest in ASL.

yum update fails on missing dependency: asl for mod_security
Hi there,
I'm not sure how to fix this. When running yum update, I get:
Error: Missing Dependency: asl is needed by package mod_security
Any suggestions?
many thanks,
billc
