Help to identify source of outgoing email
Can anyone help. There is some mail (I do not THINK ti is Spam) going from our server but the domain is not hosted on our server. They must have put on one of our accounts as the authentication. I would like to try and identify which email address is being used to authenticate it. Can anyone help, p...

Re: Migration preparation - name servers for all domains
We are moving to a new server altogether. All domains use the same name servers: ns0.hosted-domain.com ns1.hosted-domain.com ns2.hosted-domain.com ns3.hosted-domain.com ns2, ns2, ns3 are all external for DNS backup and MAX backup. hosted-domain.com is on the same server and that domain is also trans...

Migration preparation - name servers for all domains
We are preparing a migration of servers. A while ago, we were told of a way that we could download into Excel. I cannot find out how to do it now. It ended up giving us in lots of worksheets, all the various records. We need it so that we can see what name servers the domains have for a migration. T...

Re: Enable Spamassassin verbose
Thank you prupert and faris What I was trying to do is be able to see the scores allocated to the various rules that are triggered. I know that they are listed on the SA website but when we change the score it would be good to see what scores the emails are getting. Especially when we detect a Spam ...

Re: Enable Spamassassin verbose
Thanks you prupert If I turn VERBOSE ON, do I have to put something in SA-FORWARD as it says: requires SA-FORWARD (not used) nad that says: SA_FORWARD="" # <username@domain>, User to redirect quarantined spam mails, unmodified for sa-learn (not used) Is it saying we should create a specifi...

Re: Virus on a domain
I lost my original reply presumably because the information I was trying to put on my reply was not liked by phpBB! /var/spool/qscan/quarantine/viruses/new (420 items) /var/spool/qscan/quarantine/policy/new (335 items) appear to show that the emails were just coming from outside, but keep trying to ...

Re: Can SpamAssassin rule check sender's domain?
Thanks faris,
The problem is that every email has a ottally different, totally random domain. So I was hoping that SA could do it. Time, I think for spamdyke to be added to the arsenal!

Enable Spamassassin verbose
I would like to see the scores that Spamassassin is putting on emails with teh SA-VERBOSE command. We use qmail-scanner with SA via that. Do I do this in qmail-scanner.ini? # qmail-scanner settings QMAILSCANNERHOME="/usr/share/qmail-scanner" SPOOLDIR="/var/spool/qscan" SPAMDIR=&q...

Virus on a domain
I have a lot of entries in the maillog like below. It appears that they are being generated on our server - but nothing is being sent out from the server itself which is good. Jun 19 21:22:44 plesk3 qmail-scanner[2453]: Clear:RC:1(127.0.0.1): 0 1100 root@plesk3.hostname.co.uk <> policy-violation_fou...

Can SpamAssassin rule check sender's domain?
We have CentOS 5, ASL, Plesk 10 with qmail-scanner. We have a spate of Spam which are a picture with some random rubbish wording at the bottom. In almost all cases, the sender's domain does not exist, e.g. New-Car-Now@poserldfnizey.net I've noticed with one client who forwards mail to a tiscali emai...

Re: PSA dumps - can they be deleted?
Thank you faris. That makes sense as to how they were created. And I can then get the offending very large one to delete theirs!

Re: PSA dumps - can they be deleted?
Thank you prupert, The older viersions of Plesk had a better version of the usage. You could for example drill down and see which email accounts were using all the space and where else the disc allocation was being used. Plesk 10 is not nearly as good. Even clicking on "Mail" tab, you are ...
