Re: NGINX Semaphores Arrays
Hi, I'll save you 1 hour (for which I'll need some kind of payment in kind later) its kidneystones, sorry mod_security. I've replicated this with mod_security + pagespeed and just mod_security on latest nginx (I don't use that other module). Oh and there's also this (so its not an atomic problem if ...

Re: PHP mail spam
Hi, Cross reference your web server access logs with the mailserver logs there will be entries for (almost) the same times. Voila! However i think this will be the wp contact us form? As i recall we had a customer with mails sourced from his wp but he had no contact us form... this didn't matter to ...

Building PHP 5.2.17 on CentOS6
Hi Scott, I know I shouldn't really be attempting this but I was wondering if you would be willing to provide me with source rpms for the instance of PHP 5.2.17 you created for EL6? Currently I'm using IUS's 5.2.17 source rpm but I'm getting an error that I can't seem to work through : DEBUG: checki...

Re: Anybody use Python scripting?
I don't believe any of our customers are using it, and in the three and a half years I've been in website hosting we've had one query for Python hosting.
I think we probably only have a half a dozen customers using Perl for something more than formmail.
Paul.

Re: my.cnf ignored
Hi, It sounds like your configuration entries are in the wrong place, they should all be placed AFTER "[mysqld]" and BEFORE any other "[mysql.*]" entries. If you do have the my.cnf in the right place then please can you paste your entire my.cnf into a post along with the output o...

Re: Help with Virtuozzo 4 vzmlocal command
My experience is from Virtuozzo 4.7 and doesn't amount to much but what I can tell you is that the stupid command won't work on running containers! And I think you only need to specify the second set of parameters (from/to directories) if you're using non-standard paths. Certainly when I've cloned c...

Re: Plesk with php 5.2 Needed
Hi,
You can install PHP 5.2 from either of these repositories :
http://www.jasonlitka.com
http://www.iuscommunity.org/
I don't use either for PHP so I can't comment, but in looking at the repo, IUS does something very weird!

Re: plesk 9 to plesk 10 migration problems
Its probably a bit late but you can also untar a Plesk 9 backup and get at all the goodness inside (certainly all the raw site data and I presume xml files that contain the Plesk configuration). This should be a painful but effective method... I assume there are political rather than policy (which I...

Re: Plesk Statistics Graph not Updating
That cron command doesn't do the statistics, I believe its the "plesk daily" script in /etc/cron.daily that updates the Plesk statistics (and if the Plesk statistics aren't working its possible that webstats aren't working). Do you have a file named something like 050pleskdaily in /etc/cro...

Re: Plesk 9 Backup failing
So to clarify, the ftp repo works in that it lists the backups, but when you click on a backup for further info it throws that error? What are the backup file sizes on the ftp repo? (Ie is it really making backups or not?). Are you able to fully interact with the ftp backups from the command line on...

Re: Here Comes IPv6
Hi, Just to ruin your plans we're about a month away from Plesk 11. I'd hold off for about a month after the release of Plesk 11 and then assess which one to go for. The thing to bear in mind is that Parallels look like they're going to rigidly enforce product lifecycles with a 4 year lifecycle for ...

Re: Plesk 10.4.4 MU#16 broke old PHP session file removal
Hi, /root/.autoinstaller/microupdates.xml would show a different modify time, and the counter inside it would increment (so an md5sum might be a safer check). Microupdates are great in that it allows Parallels to actually respond to issues in a timely fashion, but its ridiculous that all previous Mi...

And for the databases : http://www.percona.com/doc/percona-xtrabackup/
(Which sounds like how r1soft do their MySQL backups).
