Re: PHP 5.2.14 and 5.3.3 released
thanks for the info...if one were to upgrade from 5.2.13 to 5.3.3, would that require additional support upgrades or is it a straight shot?
Does Atomic have 5.3.3 in the repo and is ASL ok with 5.3.3 at this time?

Re: FastCGI on Plesk 8.6
I have built and maintained sites with both Joomla and wordpress...I prefer the Joomla capabilities over wordpress, as the extensions are far more adaptable to real web site design and functions over a far greater range than what I find with wordpress...although I have to admit that I have much more...

Re: Import website from remote ftp
make sure the file is in the correct directory...httpdocs... gzip -dc target.tar.gz | tar xf - I would be concerned about the database...can you export the db separately from the old site, then if you have probs, import tables into the new database after the files are decompressed...and are you sure...

I am toying with the idea of implementing nginx on my server because of all the great thing i've heard about it... However, and these quotes are from another post, these statements are puzzling to me, and have instilled some doubt as to the security issues...maybe someone can help me clarify what is...

Re: [atomic] Mysql 5.1.47
Just tor keep things updated... the upgrade error that I was repeatedly getting was RROR 29 (HY000) at line 334: File '/var/log/mysql-slow.log' not found (Errcode: 13) only permissions concerns...the files that the my.cnf pointed to for error logs required mysql as owner, and permissions set to 644....

Re: [atomic] Mysql 5.1.47
regarding the my.cnf...isn't the
quite extreme? I have mine at 2-6mb, and the mysqltuner tweaks me up or down in that range consistently. I don' knw, maybe your require all that.tmp_table_size=128M
max_heap_table_size=128M

Re: [atomic] Mysql 5.1.47
I think step three and four need to not have the admin password in the command, and it will ask for the password...at least that works on my server...
e.g.
# mysqlcheck -u admin -p --auto-repair --check --optimize --all-databases
# password:
