Re: Dependency problem with the w3af package
Maybe you've seen these too, but before you go to too much effort, it seems that there are folks who have already done this work, for both Python 2.5 and 2.6.

Re: Dependency problem with the w3af package
Regarding OpenVAS, I am using it now in production. It works pretty well. I use it in combination with GSA (greenbone security assistant). There are quite a few holes in its functionality, but what is there seems to work well.

Re: Dependency problem with the w3af package
Well, I spoke too soon. I was able to get the packages to install, but I can't run w3af, either w3af_console or w3af_gui. Here is the error output that I get when running w3af_console [root@openvas ~]# w3af_console Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/w3af_console", line 91, i...

I confirm that the python-SocksiPy package is now in the repo, and that yum install w3af now works!

So....can you publish it now? That would be really helpful. The tarball is about 20 MB. That doesn't seem that large....scott wrote:I already worked this one up, just didnt publish it do to its size.

Suggestion for rpm to add to Atomic CentOS Repository: w3af
Hello, I would like to make a suggestion for a package to add to the Atomic CentOS repository: w3af w3af is a general web application scanning tool that is an excellent compliment to nikto. Updated OpenVAS packages for CentOS?
Hello,
I am curious to know if the OpenVAS packages in the Atomic CentOS Repository will be updated soon? I would really like to see current versions of all of the various OpenVAS-related packages, including OpenVAS itself, greenbone-security-assistant and libmicrohttpd.
Thanks,
Brian
