The server is a fresh provision and has not sent more than 10 or 15 emails per day. The issue is that after installing qmail-scanner I can't send or receive mail. It's not clamav... it's qmail-scanner

I am running the centosplus version of MySQL 5 with PSA 8.1 without any issues. Be sure your scripts are PHP5 compatible, though, because one of the dependencies of MySQL 5 is PHP5.

I just reprovisioned the server and successfully reproduced this. I simply did a yum update using centosplus and then added the ART repo and installed SpamAssassin and qmail scanner.

Yes I did install it with Yum from the atomic repo. I also tried that chmod command, however thepermissions on /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl already matched that.

At first I ran qmail scanner with the Plesk SpamAssassin. This did not make any changes to how Plesk ran or was configured. I do find, though, that running ONLY the ART spamassassin and qmail-scanner allows for more flexibility and customization.

Hmmm. I'll see if I can't get a test server to give this a try on.

The issue was present the first time I installed, which is why I removed it and reinstalled. I had hoped that would correct the issue, but it did not, and hte same issue was present.
