Hosted email address cannot be contact for a customer
We have CentOS5 with ASL and Plesk 10.0.2. Can anyone help with this: We have a "customer" Joe Bloggs whose contact email address is xxx@domain1.com (we host domain1.com). Under his customer account, he has his own domains, not domain1.com. We needed to change the password for the email ad...

Re: details preview of Plesk 10.4.X
breun, Yes, a bit harsh but I agree. Thee was not lots of negativity like now when we migrated. It is fair to say that previous upgrades of Plesk have been good. And many of the issues that are experienced cannot have been tested in every case before upgrades - or else you'd think that Paralells wou...

Re: details preview of Plesk 10.4.X
Have stayed on 9 (currently 9.5.4) on primary servers which host important projects! Stupidly, we took th leap of faith after other major upgrades always added something useful. But Plesk 10 is SO different that you cannot then go back. So we are stuck with wondering whether we now keep going to Pl...

We had a related problem - I'm about to post - but I think yours is directly linked to http://kb.parallels.com/en/111985 which I hope will help you. We have Plesk 10.2.0. With us, situation is we have a customer whose contact email address is xxx@domain1.com (we host domain1.com). We have a "Cu...

Re: details preview of Plesk 10.4.X
I'm still on Plesk 8.6.0... I wonder when they'll stop supporting it. I sure hate the thought up upgrading it... it just sits there and works so well... all I have to do is "yum update" once a week... I can't imagine that 8.6 -> 10.3 would go smoothly... my luck doesn't run that way... DO...

Re: Microsoft mail server emails rejected - HELP!
thank you so much faris, I had not done anything because it was saying it was for Plesk 9 when I tried to cat the file. But removing that rule has worked. Like the other person in the other post, we have got people who are using microsoft messaging and their "pool" as part of the mail serv...

Microsoft mail server emails rejected - HELP!
An external (not hosted by us) domain is using microsoft messaging to do their spam/virus checking of emails. When they send to our hosted domains, the emails are rejected: Oct 6 15:33:45 plesk3 qmail-queue-handlers[20035]: hook_dir = '/usr/local/psa/handlers/before-queue' Oct 6 15:33:45 plesk3 qmai...

Re: Greylisting Rejection - explanation please
faris, You are so sensible not running Plesk 10. We made the mistake of upgrading early this year - I thought that 8 months was sufficient to get it stable. But the basic business model on Plesk 10 is so different to all the previous models. After many months, we are getting more used to it and once...

Re: Greylisting Rejection - explanation please
faris, Thank you for your response, and I agree totally about not removing the whole rule. The whitelisting in /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf does appear to have worked (I was worried it might not as I thought that Spamassassin and Greylisting would be done separately, but whitelisting it does appe...

Where are Plesk Greylisting rules?
We have Plesk 10.2.0 on CentOS 5 with ASL. We are getting mails rejected that are being sent through microsoft: Sep 23 10:47:23 plesk3 greylisting filter[10222]: list type: black, from: ch1outboundpool.messaging.microsoft.com, match string: dsl|pool|broadband|hsd I need to disable that rule but for ...

Re: How can I set up external mail relay?
Thank you faris and Scott, Great idea about charging policy, Scott and we will likely do the same - thanks for the suggestion. Scott, We have qmail-scanner on the server anyway. In fact, we have spamassassin (I think from your repository and no longer the Plesk-shipped version, but is there a way to...

Re: How can I set up external mail relay?
Thanks as ever faris, The detail and explanation on what I was unclear on is most appreciated. Simply whitelisting the IP address of where the mail server is is working perfectly, and exactly what we wanted to achieve, so THANK YOU. For anyone else wanting to do it on Plesk 10, this is under Setting...

How can I set up external mail relay?
I have a client for whom we provide broadband. Their domain is NOT hosted with us yet. They have a Small Business Server on site and they are asking for SMTP server details for their outgoing emails. We do not want to use the DSL provider's one as it not very white label. But with Plesk 10, surely w...

Greylisting Rejection - explanation please
I hope someone can help with interpretation of the reason for a recent rejection on Greylisting. An external email address was trying to send email to one of our hosted domains and being rejected. It appears to me that it may be because the mail server IP address looks like it differs in 2 parts and...
