Plesk 9 Backup failing
Hello guys. I've got a real bad issue. Can't find any solution to it. I've searched but nothing comes to mind or from googling. So i've got this plesk 9 box. Remote FTP backup is failing always. When I click on the "no prefix" of the failed backup I get this error... Any ideas ? Thanks guy...

Re: securing sessions ?
I assume you're talking about session poisoning. It's possible because PHP lets the end user set their own session by declaring PHPSESSIONID=MYSESSIONID and, thus, your session_id() would return "MYSESSIONID", instead of a random hash. I wouldn't worry about using cookies. There's no real...

securing sessions ?
Hello guys. I am developing a php application. I validate users and keep many things stored in session. Its the first time I do such a thing and I was wondering... Is there anyway someone can mess up with my sessions which are stored inside the server ? I dont use coocies at all for improved securit...

Re: Apache Mod Deflate tutorial
Statistically the cpu goes up but only by an average of 2-3%.
With todays CPU's this increase is close to nothing. But on the other hand sites load faster and i think thats great.
Any suggestions for the conf though guys ? Maybe we can enhance this confguration more and make it even better !

Hey guys.scott wrote:Great work, we're trying all this out on the atomic servers right now
I didn't see any feedback so I wanted to ask. Did you see good results ? Maybe you did any configuration adjustments or added lines within the deflate.conf ?

Re: plesk 9 to plesk 10 migration problems
I started that migration out, a week ago, using PleskX.pl route.. It migrated about half the customers, and ignored the others. So I ended up doing a pleskbackup for EACH missing customer and doing a pleskrestore at the new server for them. 90% of them worked. Some gave me issues like it would rest...

problem with sessions
Hi guys. I see you just pushed a php upgrade which was due to a CVE for security reasons. Now there is a problem. I have built a site which was using sessions. Before the update everything was fine. After the update I simply couldn't log in ! I cheched the logs and found nothing. Then a customer con...

Re: Plesk backup killing the server
I recommend not trying to be smart about what directories to backup, but just backing up all regular partitions. I don't recommend backing up the files in /var/lib/mysql though, at least not as your primary way to back up MySQL databases, as they are not guaranteed to be in a consistent state when ...

Re: Plesk backup killing the server
Yeah, but all of these and others require booting into the backup environment -- you can't use them to backup a live server like you can with r1soft. I'm disappointed that there's no open-source equivalent to it, but not surprised -- I imagine it is extremely hard to implement. Backup has been trou...

Re: Plesk backup killing the server
I've never had any problems with 4psa totalbackup. It just works. It is more suited to data restoration than full system restoration, however. The problem with r1soft CDP, utterly brilliant though it is, is the price including the mysql add-on. So that's $850 per server you want to back up. Ouch! I...

Re: Plesk backup killing the server

They have a backup feature on plesk but because its soooo bad they have written a php script for backup. Thats how serious parallels is about backing...
