Ive thought about it.... you might be able to do some symlink trickery to make that happen. It would definitely make this package more maintainable than a customized plesk version.

Is the atomic phpmyadmin supposed to be a more secure version? Or one that doesn't get flagged as sql injection by mod_security?

Its whatever upstream provides laid out in the redhat format.
