upgrade from 8.6 to 9.52 , w/postfix

Unread post by cnycsjohn »

I was running 4psa spam guardian , and I think that might be where my issue stems from... but wanted to ask you guys for ideas.

mail is not making it to the mailbox and the logs look like this :

Just a shot in the dark, but have you upgraded spamguardian to the latest version that is compatible with Plesk 9.x and (I assume) Postfix? I don't even know if it it compatible with Postfix at all in fact. Have you contacted 4psa support?

I have now :)

My mail now passes through undisturbed , no reference to liveguardian nor headers for spamchecking.

no errors in maillog , a repeating message in var/log/messages saying :

Sep 9 00:48:15 phoenix postfix/smtpd[22447]: sql_sqlite3 plugin: no result found
Sep 9 00:49:48 phoenix postfix/smtpd[22446]: sql_sqlite3 plugin: no result found

and it's time is wrong on them as is everything else relating to postfix/smtpd

Sep 9 00:54:20 phoenix postfix/smtpd[22446]: disconnect from unknown[80.42.60.67]
Sep 8 20:54:25 phoenix pop3d: Connection, ip=[209.85.160.150]

That's not a rookie mistake -- just less than perfect engineering on 4psa's part. A big warning saying "No accounts protected - do this that or the other to get started" would be nice.

If I had set up protection under qmail, then switched to postfix, I would expect my settings to continue working.

The timestamp issue is seriously strange. It feels like a timezone issue since the minutes and seconds are correct.
