CLAMD high CPU consumption when website visited

Unread post by imadsani »

I'm running a cPanel Centos 6 server with over 200 websites and have recently noticed high cpu load. The server is running normal right now which leads me to suspect no ones visiting the websites on the server. With htop open I just visited a site on the server and I saw 4 threads of clamd open, each consuming at least 60%-100% cpu.

I'm posting New Relic screenshots, any ideas?

here's a screenshot of Htop as soon as I visited the website:

Note: the clamd threads die as soon as the page loads.
