Just ran YUM UPDATE CLAM* to update to Clamav 0.93 ( Up to date CentOS 4 and PSA 8.3 )
After the update, tried to restart clamd server and received the following errors:
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/clamd start
Starting Clam AntiVirus Daemon: ERROR: Parse error at line 300: Unknown option ArchiveMaxCompressionRatio.
ERROR: Can't open/parse the config file /etc/clamd.conf
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/clamd start
Starting Clam AntiVirus Daemon: ERROR: Parse error at line 316: Unknown option ArchiveBlockMax.
ERROR: Can't open/parse the config file /etc/clamd.conf
I commented out lines 300 and 316 in the clamd.conf file then clamd restart without issues. Is there something I am missing with these "Unknown Options" and how do I correct? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jack

I looked on the Clamav.net maillinglist forums. With the upgrade, the new clamd.conf does not overwrite the old clamd.conf file. According to the release notes:
clamd:
- NEW CONFIG FILE OPTIONS: MaxScanSize, MaxFileSize, MaxRecursion,
MaxFiles
- ** THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS ARE NO LONGER SUPPORTED **:
MailMaxRecursion,
ArchiveMaxFileSize, ArchiveMaxRecursion, ArchiveMaxFiles,
ArchiveMaxCompressionRatio, ArchiveBlockMax
So basically, you can comment out the options that are no longer supported if the existing clamd.conf file , or copy /etc/clamd.conf.rpmnew ( new config file ) over the existing one. IF you do this copy, make sure to compare the options you now have set in the existing file so you can make sure it is activated in the new conf file.

thanks, I ended up uninstalling the upgrade and reinstalling again.
it's working now but I still get the warning:
LibClamAV Warning *** The virus database is older than 7 days! ***
LibClamAV Warning *** Please update it as soon as possible. ***
even after the database updates successfully:
