At this point the email services on this server are limited to outgoing email list hosting, so I'd like to disable outgoing clamscan. Seems to be hogging up resources. I've been trying to find a way to disable clam on just outgoing message but so far am coming up empty, any tips?

OK, if not that, how to turn off clamscan? I tried:
service clamd stop && qmail-scanner-reconfigure

However psmon or something automatically restarted clamscan.

edit the qmail-scanner-queue.pl script and remove it from the scanners array
