I have the secondary DNS system setup on a box with nothing else on it. It is the secondary server for 3 Plesk boxes, all running CentOS 4.x. Everything is working great - except that when the secondaries.include file is generated the in-addr.arpa file isn't there. If I go to /var/www/vhosts/default/htdocs and manually add it, all is well. But when the cron job generates a new secondaries.include file - it's gone again of course.
The strange part is that the in-addr.arpa file remains on the secondary box, but doesn't get read during reverse dns checks until I manually add it as above.
I have had my ISP delegate dns control to me for quite a while, so it's very important to get this right.
Any ideas? What have I done wrong.
Secondary DNS - xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa problem
