Yum error on FC3

Unread post by vakantieman »

After I copy your Gamera yum channel I get the following fault :

Repository updates-released already added, not adding again
Repository base already added, not adding again
Setting up Update Process
Setting up Repo: base
repomd.xml 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00
Setting up Repo: updates-released
repomd.xml 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00
Setting up Repo: gamera
http://shinn.net/pub/Linux/atomic/gamer ... repomd.xml: [Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 404: Not Found
Trying other mirror.
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: gamera
failure: repodata/repomd.xml from gamera: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

What is the problem? Can you fix the problem,it looks like the server can't find repomd.xml. Is this a Fedora Core 3 problem?

Anyone,

on the PG error message, thats a yum-2.1/2.0 issue (FC3 is 2.1). My archive at this time is only supporting yum 2.0. So you'd need to roll back to an older version of yum, which is what Im doing currently on FC3 PG servers.
