mod_perl not provided with ART?

Unread post by andy »

I just updated my Plesk 7.1.5 server using yum update and the atomic repository. All seemed to be fine, except the mod_perl package was not updated. I can't find a mod_perl RPM anywhere in the RPMs on this site.

Apache would not start properly until I disabled mod_perl on one of my websites. It looks like the old mod_perl.so file is not compatible with the new httpd that was installed.

I now have:
httpd-2.0.46-46.highfd.rhel3.art
mod_perl-1.99_09-10.ent

Do I need to roll back to everything I was running before I ran yum update or is there an easy way to build a new mod_perl package? Thanks for any help!

I dont do mod_perl rpms, you'd get that from the vendor channels (base/updates)

OK, but the vendor-provided mod_perl RPM I have is not compatible with either your Apache RPMs or your perl-5.8.5 RPM (not sure which). I tried recompiling from the SRPM for mod_perl but it wouldn't compile, so I ended up rolling all the httpd, php, and perl RPMs back to the standard.
