I updated Mysql to latest version by Yum.

Is there a mysql username and password that came with this rpm that I need to login a different way and grant these rights ?

No it uses whatever was already there

hmm do you know anyway to determine admin userid and password for Mysql ? I have root access to shell.

Also, is there a rpm for aw stats or another web statistics rpm that is better ?
