I upgraded mysql from 3.x to 4.x by yum, I used this command "yum update mysql", it was successful, but the config file /etc/my.cnf is still of version 3.x, when I change it to 4.x then it shows error and can't start mysql. Can any one tell me what should I do now ? pls.
