Updates to Kernel

Unread post by acidbox »

Scott,

I see that yum has an update for the kernel (RHEL3) to 2.4.21-37. I also see that the latest kernel version is 2.4.32. Are there any plans to release an update to the latest kernel in the 2.4 branch?

Scott, is this pretty stable for RHEL3? I'd like to give it a shot but i'd hate to toast my kernel :)

Thanks for your input.

ASL in general yes, very stable. It's out in the wild on a lot of systems for a year now.

asl-testing, where the new kernels live, that is absolutely not stable. I'll probably need to add another channel there, like asl-unstable/asl-bleeding. Since right now asl-testing has a mix of release-candidate quality code, and known bad kernels.
