While attempting to install the update for ossec-hids on my Centos5 server using yum, I get the following error:

Atomic-release is the latest version:
Package atomic-release-1.0-19.el5.art.noarch already installed and latest version

Make sure you clear your cache and re-install the package. If you still get that you might need to manually wipe the /var/cache/yum dir.

The cache would eventually expire on your end too, thats probably what happened. Thanks for the followup!
