Error when attempting an authenticated scan

Hello all.
When attempting to run an authenticated scan, it returns only network layer results. I have used the set of credentials to connect over smb manually, and i sucessfully got a command prompt.
The following error is in my openvassd.messages log:

[Tue Jun 21 22:17:02 2016][20613] win_cmd_exec: WinCMD Connect failed
[Tue Jun 21 22:39:36 2016][19688] Finished testing REDACTED. Time : 1394.96 secs
[Tue Jun 21 22:39:36 2016][19684] Test complete
[Tue Jun 21 22:39:36 2016][19684] Total time to scan all hosts : 1401 seconds
Note that I used the winexe utility to test the validity of the credentials. Maybe I need to install a "WinCMD" utility?? I was not able to find anything regarding this online.
