I have the same problem. Is this issue fixed in the open source (or the OSSEC+) version?
I can see a potential fix in the pull requests btw: https://github.com/ossec/ossec-hids/pull/1880

Hey guys,
I have the same feeling. The whole OSSEC+ thing is not very round.
For the KOFE installation, I had to change the OSSEC config to allow the JSON alert output. I found that through the forum, the documentation does not mention it.
