I finally got it working!!!

Tomcat is up and running on my machine and ...
I can shut it down now properly ( at first I got JAVA VM errors when shutting down the server ).

rpm -u yum

and it worked :)

Just installed Yum by using

[root@as local]# wget http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/down ... 4.1.tar.gz

and extracted the folder.

How can I install Yum ? Or how can I run the Yum command ?

So I contacted Media Temple.
