After installing postfix and clapf, I've had some issues.
I had to install gsl (yum install gsl) - and then I had to edit /etc/clamd.conf and make sure that the configuration for LocalSocket was uncommented and set to /tmp/clamd.socket
These should automatically happen on RPM install, right?

Re: Plesk 9.5.4 + Centos + qmails-canner 2.08-5 - SPF proble
I installed Postfix + Clapf, but had TLS issues for outgoing mail.
I followed many online guides, edited the submission files, etc -- no bueno.
I swapped back because at least qmail worked out of the box and in each step...
I would love to use Postfix though...

Things to Turn off in PLESK with using Qmail-Scanner
It occurred to me that it has never been said plainly -- and perhaps upon installation, it should be stated: If you have installed qmail-scanner with spamassassin and clamd: #1) Remove DrWeb or any other PLESK Anti-Virus. #2) If PSA-Spamassassin is installed, turn off all options in Tools > Spam Fil...

PLESK 12 + SPF + Qmail-Scanner = Unable to open pipe
Qmail-Scanner no longer works when I have SPF enabled. I'm on PLESK 12.0.8 with current version of qmail-scanner. I'm reusing someone else's log from 2008 and PLESK 9.5.4 below since I have SPF disabled and don't want to throw my server back for the sake of error collecting: Jul 25 01:18:03 colossus...

Re: Plesk 12 and ClamAV
qmail-scanner is FOR qmail - it is not qmail. ART's clam av does not work out of the box. You have two options with qmail-scanner and clamd: #1) Configure it #2) Remove it and move on: yum remove clamd qmail-scanner-reconfigure Suggestion #2 isn't too helpful if you want anti-virus, but for a while ...

Re: Plesk 11 Setup Tips Please
RBLs are essential - don't remove them :) Instead, play around with the site below to find out which ones are going to block spam the best. http://www.anti-abuse.org/multi-rbl-check-results/ I disabled RBLs in PLESK simply because it was easier to edit them in spamdyke and I prefer how they are logg...

Re: Installing ClamAV for file system
Last few times I've installed the art distro of clamd, they needed configuring and did not run out of the box.

Re: wrong user in clamd.conf and freshclam.conf
I have 2 servers all using the qmail-scanner stack and this problem crops up all the time only on my primary server. On my secondary server, clamav is happy is a clam to run as qscand:qscand. Both run CentOS release 6.6 (Final). Running 'freshclam' is how I test. -bash-4.1# ls -la total 312 drwxrwxr...

Re: Plesk 10.4.4 MU59 problem
Changing your RBLs in PLESK does the same thing :) -- I am lazy. yum reinstall spamdyke I keep PLESK Updates on manual because I've seen smtp_psa be rewritten too many times :) I don't know if there's a way to hook into PLESK and write an extension to keep things like Spamdyke in order - but if some...

Re: qmail-scanner message size problem
Hey Guys -
I took a look through my maillogs, and this happens on my servers too.
[root@server ~]# cat /var/log/mail* | grep -i '(?/?)' > /root/mailparsed
100% of the e-mails that this happens on are legitimate e-mails created by clients -- none were spam.
I second prupert's logic.

Re: Plesk 9.5.4 + Centos + qmails-canner 2.08-5 - SPF proble
Hey all, No resolution to this problem was posted -- and in 2015, for the first time ever, I'm having this exact problem on 3 servers with PLESK 12.0.18. If I disable SPF on all three servers, the error disappears. If I enable SPF and remove qmail-scanner, the error disappears. As ART-Qmail-Scanner ...

SpamDyke on PLESK 11 - with MySQL
I am running the latest PLESK with Qmail-Scanner / Spamassassin / ClamAV. I install psa-spamdyke and spamdyke. I install it, installation resets xinetd - before installing psa-spamdyke and spamdyke - and things woulid appear to be running fine... although I'm not really seeing evidence that spamdyke...

Re: freshclam.log permissions
I'm having the same problem, but perhaps a slightly different scenario. I did not find a solution here. /etc/cron.hourly/freshclam: ERROR: Problem with internal logger (UpdateLogFile = /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log). ERROR: Can't open /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log in append mode (check permissions!)...

Re: Upgrade Plesk 9.5.4 to 10.4.4 breaks qmail-scanner
Fixed. rpm /root/parallels/PSA_10.4.4/dist-rpm-CentOS-5-x86_64/base/* -Uvh --force Reinstalling the PLESK Base Files to fix qmail is a bit ridiculous. I'm going to guess that there are some users, groups and permissions that get setup and reset here. qmail-scanner may have broken them when it was in...

Re: Upgrade Plesk 9.5.4 to 10.4.4 breaks qmail-scanner
Did you follow the exact steps I posted above? Not pretty, but worked every time for us. Yes, and multiple times. remove qmail-scanner (which I'm not adding back) autoinstaller - postfix autoinstaller - qmail mchk service qmail start no dice. -- Jan 19 16:12:30 server qmail-queue-handlers[1686]: ca...
