I am having trouble booting into the new kernel on a 1and1 box. I couldn't troubleshoot too much because I had to get the server back up. I can test later tonight if needed. Are there known issues with 1and1 and the new kernel? Do you need me to give any info about what is happening?

httpd stopping

Last week I had the httpd service stop twice. I'm not sure what has caused it, and haven't found anything in the logs yet, but I have a question. Doesn't asl use psmon to restart stopped services? If so, should httpd be restarted when it is stopped? I see it in the psmon config file. It was down for...

I had this same issue yesterday. It would eventually clog up spamassassin and messages would come through with the dreaded (?/?) as the scores. I flipped it over to local mode and everything is fine. I am on a 1and1 box and my resolv.conf file doesn't contain 127.0.0.1. Instead it is created by dhcp...

Yep, I had this same issue with Total Backup. I had to contact tech support and they had to have access to my box to get it installed. After that, I looked to see what they had installed and it was a bunch of i386 compatibility packages. I have since ditched the program and just do my own backups.

I don't think it is the size. These were only 2mb each and I know other messages much bigger go through fine. I only get these every once in a while (like 1 a week). Do you think quotas could have anything to do with this? I am going to enable quotas tonight, so I guess I will find out soon enough.

Well, I still get these sometimes. I have now installed your asl testing kernel (2.6.22.9-2.art) and am still getting this. I just had one happen that I could get more information about so here goes. The recipients mailbox filled up during the delivery I think. A user sent 3 emails with pictures in ...
