Didn't notice about lilo, that way you can't copy over the master boot record, can you ?

Are they making though to install it using the aooi ?

noapic was a better option for me.

acpi=off worked but copies over hardrives were weird, some lookups.

noapic performed better.

Well, For me was 18 Reimages to get-it right. So keep it trying it. Instead of acpi=off try the noapic. The acpi was able to boot and operate but I noticed some strange lookups while copying over from one HD to another. The noapic removed that behavior. The initrd and vmlinuz are copies (from cd) or did you compile them ?

I'll give it a try with the apci settings. Let you know the results if sucessfull.
