Re: Plesk 10 Migration Failure
But the Plesk 10 thingy just seems to really bork stuff... As Bill Engval might say, "Here's your sign". :) I am moving to Cpanal after only two weeks of v10. Remember also if you migrate Plesk to Plesk you may be on your own where CPanel will migrate your server free. I have had a huge r...

Re: Plesk 10 Migration Failure
Is Site Builder compatible with PHP 5.2.17? Should I just upgrade to Plesk 9.5 and stay away from 10 for now? What I refer to an an upgrade is actually a reload of the OS, Virtuozzo, and Plesk, and then migrating in data. If I go to Plesk 9.5 now I am paying an SUS fee to upgrade to not the most cu...

Re: Plesk 10 Migration Failure
Unfortunately we are being pressed to move to Plesk 10 and I really don't want to. There's nothing wrong with 8.6 (which is what we use on all our systems). The only features we don't have that I need are Apache 2.2.x and the new SiteBuilder. Forced by who? You pay the server lease don't you? I hav...

Re: Plesk 10 Migration Failure
Well see, here's the thing that I am sure you've experienced. Customers demand the latest and greatest. I cringe when they demand like PHP 5.3.5 before we even know if 5.2.17 is stable. I am in a different market. I sell design and hosting to end user customers who don't know PHP from TEA! In that ...

Re: Plesk 10 Migration Failure
Thank you, but I think I've missed your point :) There seems to be a consensus that upgrading to Plesk 10 is problematic...So that's my question -- Plesk 9.5 or Plesk 10? Thanks for all the help here. The real question is do you have to upgrade at all? Is your current system stable and delivering s...

Re: Plesk 10 Migration Failure
I too have read this numerous times and I am not yet committed. But are there others here that share this opinion, and if so, why? I had many issues and still after more than a week after migration am finding things that went wrong. Email accounts that lost the ability to access and could not reset...

Re: Plesk 10 Migration Failure
Unless you are commited DO NOT upgrade. I did and am now working to downgrade to Plesk 9. Ten is a disaster and full of bugs and confusion. Migration manager full of bugs and errors. I had a professional migrate my sites and still have issues and bugs and it took them a week having to do many thing...
