When did the rules only sub go up in price?

Hey guys,

I just noticed the rules only sub is $199 now and no longer $99? When did it double in price? I been trying to get others to order this, this is a big increase in price. I help people secure their systems. It's hard enough to get them to pay $100. When did this increase happen?

Re: is support for apache 2.4 coming anytime soon?

I'm on Centos 6.5 and Cloudlinux, using cpanel still not supported? Will it be? or is it only EL7? Mainly I'm trying to get more performance out of https. I find it so much slower than http protocol. I'm not sure if 2.4 is faster though, but it was my reasoning for wanting to switch. mod_spdy seems ...

is support for apache 2.4 coming anytime soon?

I'm just wondering. I'd like to phase out 2.2 but lack of support for 2.4 is only thing holding me back from switching to 2.4. At least according to the wiki it's still not supported. Any ideas on when it will be?

Thanks

Re: plesk, cannot connect to mysql permission denied

a umask setting in the mysql startup script maybe? It should be creating the socket like this: srwxrwxrwx 1 mysql mysql 0 Jul 8 14:57 /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock Thanks Scott, I'll look into the umask. I just edited the init.d script as a temp fix and added a chmod 0777 command in the init.d script. ...

Re: plesk, cannot connect to mysql permission denied

It looks like I have a "cause" I'm just not sure the solution. localhost isn't working for connecting to mysql. when I tried 127.0.0.1 it worked for the website. But of course the plesk panel is still down. I noticed the .sock file somehow isn't working properly. when I change it's permiss...

plesk, cannot connect to mysql permission denied

Hi I'm not sure what happen or if it's even related to ASL. The hosting company seems to think it is. But I'm doubting that. Never know anyway. The hosting company updated the virtization software on the server after this update a client of mines websites cannot connect to mysql. And the Plesk panel...

Re: cpanel 11.40 - EasyApache no longer compiles php

Is there no solution for this issue?

I have a server that no longer has ASL running as a result now for several days.

cpanel 11.40 - EasyApache no longer compiles php

EasyApache is no longer compiling php or apache with php support when ASL is installed. It just compiles a basic apache with nothing added to it. When I uninstall ASL EasyApache works normally again.

Any solution to this?

Re: server health apache CPU usage

If you restart apache it should make sites go offline for a split second it will likely not even be noticed. On occasion this is needed, but you can also restart apache gracefully which makes sure active tasks get completed before it restarts itself. So yes it will effect things, but unless apache ...

Re: nginx as reverse proxy to apache. Security?

Hi Mike, Woah nice post. :) Yeah injected images is always a concern. I guess this is really a concern on an already hacked system. I guess I'm looking to prevent that from happening lol. :) Do you have any suggestions on how to test if say nginx can/can't be tricked into running php/cgi etc? I do h...

nginx as reverse proxy to apache. Security?

I'm considering setting up nginx to serve static files like images, my only concern is security. I've brushed up on some nginx specific security issues, but it seems like I can't find any information anywhere about mod_security and is it needed in a case where your only serving images. Apache would ...
