ok! guess it's not possible to get sent/received mail stats from qmail without parsing the logfiles ... which is to ressource intense for monitoring (every minute) by nagios ...
could you maybe send me your modifications? guess it's better to monitor the queue than noting ...

@faris: You got a modified check_qmailq with perf stats? Does it also return messages sent / minute? Searching such a plugin ... but no luck yet
