Re: Unable to Access ASL Control Panel
Nothing.
I ran "asl -s -f" and the procedure ended successfully but it did not fix the problem
What command should I run instead?
Thanks and regards,

Unable to Access ASL Control Panel
Hello to all, We just realized that for some reason we are unable to access our ASL CP today. :( When we try to access using our usual https://our_domain.com:30000/ it is returning: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Apache Server at iwx21.crservers.com Port 30000 We hav...

Re: Server not backing up after ASL 5.0 upgrade
yum install kernel-asl-devel That did the trick, thanks. I was doing "yum install kernel-devel" and getting nowhere. ASL does not modify rc.d or init.d files Sorry, it does not modify the files. It renames our S97cdp-agent to S99cdp-agent in /etc/rc.d/rc3.d So driver does not get loaded. ...

Server not backing up after ASL 5.0 upgrade
Hello to all, We use R1Soft backup-up software to backup our ASL-protected server. After the automatic upgrade to ASL 5.0, the server stopped loading the RISoft kernel module, even thought it is specified to load in the /etc/rc.d/rc3.d S97 level I suspect I need to recompile the r1soft module with A...

Re: How to move /var/asl/data/audit to a bigger partition
Yes, I have done it several times. From the terminal and from the GUI But I'm stuck It seems that some procedure is overwriting my configuration every time I run asl -s -f I see this in the results report: Audit Logging to: /var/asl/data/audit FIXED SecTmpDir set to: /tmp FIXED How can I stop ASL fr...

Re: How to reinstall clamav?
I just found out that we have the Interworx version of Clamav installed (clamav.x86_64 3:0.98.4-100.rhe6x.iworx) We want to install ASL version instead. When trying to "yum erase clamav.x86_64 3:0.98.4-100.rhe6x.iworx" to uninstall it, it asks for erasing a bunch of dependencies which are ...

How to move /var/asl/data/audit to a bigger partition
Hello to all, The data in /var/asl/data/audit has grown to over 11Gb taking a big chunk of our /var partition. So I decided to modify the configuration and move that to my bigger /home partition. I created the new folders and changed MODSEC_AUDITDIR to /home/var/asl/data/audit. Then restarted Apache...

Re: ASL not deleting old alerts
Thanks for your response. That configuration could solve our issue. I have changed the configuration paths (MODSEC_UPLOADDIR, MODSEC_DATADIR, and MODSEC_AUDITDIR) to save those files on a bigger partition. But ASL keeps on saving them in the same place. Do I have to restart anything to activate the ...

Re: ASL not deleting old alerts
Our MySQL server crashed last night because of lack of disk space which brought server down. I later found out that folder /var/asl/data/audit/apache was holding over 35G of space on that partition. Can somebody point me to a solution to this problem? It it safe to delete all that stuff there? Shoul...

Another finding on this issue. I tried to update system with "aum -u" and got this: [root@iwx21 ~]# aum -u Warning: fopen(): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in src/core/Core.php on line 579 ASLHOME = lang = en path = /data/lang/error_en.msg --------------------------------...

Kernel Problem - Server keeps rebooting
Hello to all, Suddenly and without reason our CentOS 6.5 server running ASL 4 and Interworx CP started rebooting about every 10 minutes or so. By looking at the system and logs, we spotted this error: Invalid command 'SecConnReadStateLimit', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in ...

Re: r1soft and ASL
I had the same problems with the Idera agent over the ASL kernel.
I happen to find the solution here:

I hope it helps others.
