That is correct. The default was 30 when I first found this script. When I read your original post ( just like when I read all revelant posts ), I checked on my servers for what you were talking about. The folders were large but not overwhelmed so I knew "something" was cleaning them. Then...

I looked on the Clamav.net maillinglist forums. With the upgrade, the new clamd.conf does not overwrite the old clamd.conf file. According to the release notes: clamd: - NEW CONFIG FILE OPTIONS: MaxScanSize, MaxFileSize, MaxRecursion, MaxFiles - ** THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS ARE NO LONGER SUPPORTED **: M...

Clamd will not start after upgrade to Clamav 0.93

Just ran YUM UPDATE CLAM* to update to Clamav 0.93 ( Up to date CentOS 4 and PSA 8.3 ) After the update, tried to restart clamd server and received the following errors: # /etc/rc.d/init.d/clamd start Starting Clam AntiVirus Daemon: ERROR: Parse error at line 300: Unknown option ArchiveMaxCompressio...

You could edit the /etc/selinux/config file and set:

SELINUX=disabled

Next reboot - selinux is disabled

Every time you run qmail-scanner-reconfigure, the qmail-scanner-queue.pl file gets rebuilt with the new options. To change the timeout, you need to change it in:
#/usr/share/qmail-scanner/configure

Then when you run "qmail-scanner-reconfigure", you change will be there.

I saved my modified smtp_psa file before the update (been burned before). After the update, I copied the modified over the defaults ( after saving the defaults as another name just to be sure ) When I get the error, I then copied the defaults back just to try them. Still got this error: xinetd start...
