I was having a different problem with ssh and uninstalled and reinstalled via yum and it solved my issues

Is there a way to lock down ssh for only my ip (but my home/work ip is dynamic not static)

Hostmonster was no help I got the VNC terminal issue fixed and did the following (in case others has a similar issue) I uninstalled SSH in the VNC Console # chkconfig sshd off # service sshd stop # yum erase openssh-server Then reinstalled it yum -y install openssh-server openssh-clients I just have...

on the vnc console i logged in and entered the following command
dmesg -n 1
That took care of it

ok i will be back later, Hostmonster is trying to undo what someone did, apparently they are displaying the system log on the terminal making it impossible for me to do much of anything

Did you modify your sshd_config to use Match blocks? no but this may be linked to my other problem on the terminal I think the hostmonster admins did I was having horrible problems with attackers (which eventually brought me to download ASL) and they did something but did not tell me what to help m...

ASL Drops on Terminal
When I log in my terminal from hostmonster (VPS) I see a lot of ASL blocks and ip drops to the point terminal is about useless to me.
Tech support says its a setting in the firewall but I cannot find the setting.
Can you tell be how to shut this off?
