Funny thing is i get one email that says it went thru and it's updated and the next one says it failed due to the art proftd. I tried t...

ClamAV is Reporting Database out of date
I just noticed that everytime i run asl -u then asl -s -f and it does it's thing, when it's done it's saying the the clamav DB is older than 7 days old. My other box is not having this issue and i can't determine why it is saying that. If i run freshclam then asl -u and asl -s -f again it still give...

Plesk 9.5 CP SSL & Server wide SSL difference
So not being the smartest at understanding why and how when you install a SSL in plesk for the CP that it does'nt make it the server wide ssl is causing me a problem. Basically i have a new server that i have started migrating customers to already and the problem i have is that we have a wildcard ss...

Re: Fresh CentOS Server & Plesk 9.5.2 Yum Options
Thanks Bruce, I did it that way and everything went fine with no issues except only one i have right now before i install ASL is that the art version of proftpd is not installing when running yum upgrade psa-proftpd. i even enabled the testing repo by doing yum --enablerepo=testing upgrade psa-proft...

Fresh CentOS Server & Plesk 9.5.2 Yum Options
So i got my new centos server up and running with Plesk 9.5.2. I yummed it using the default repo's from centos first then updated plesk to the current using plesk's updater. Now i added the atomic repo and atomic plesk repo for updates. Now before i run yum my concern is what to update first, Shoul...

Re: DNS Hosting Service Recommendations or Options?
Setup the secondary NS DNS on the new box and use the migration tool to move sites from old to new, once that is done, move the NS1 to new box and off you go. I believe it is as simple as that, someone correct me if I'm wrong. That's what i was thinking also but my brain and knowledge of doing it p...

Re: DNS Hosting Service Recommendations or Options?
The main reason i was thinking of taking the DNS away from plesk was because of a upcoming server migration i have to do. The colo where our current server is at is having some blocks of IP's being revoked by arin and it happens that all the iP's i have are in that block. Since all the ip's have to ...

DNS Hosting Service Recommendations or Options?
So for the last 3 years we have been allowing our Plesk box to host DNS & run as the name server which i want to get away from. I have been looking for a DNS hosting service that we can use to host our own dedicated DNS Name Servers but there seems to be alot of them out there. Some with low pri...

Re: [atomic] Mysql 5.1.47
regarding the my.cnf...isn't the tmp_table_size=128M max_heap_table_size=128M quite extreme? I have mine at 2-6mb, and the mysqltuner tweaks me up or down in that range consistently. I don' knw, maybe your require all that. Easy way to find out #yum install mysqltuner #mysqltuner Enter admin and yo...

Re: REQ RPM for Apache httpd 2.2.15
I think it would be great if Atomic had apache in the repo so the latest is being used. Problem i have with backporting is because of the versioning stamp and PCI Compliance it seems monthly i have to help our merchants that we host for do their appeals on their scans because some ASV's are stupid a...
