I just downgraded back to .33 - seems to be fine after that. MySQL Error log shows InnoDB: Unable to lock ./ibdata1, error: 11 InnoDB: Check that you do not already have another mysqld process InnoDB: using the same InnoDB data or log files. i tried that too, but psmon restarted itself apparently and keeps spamming me with emails...

This directory is pretty large (several GB), is there any danger in removing the files in this directory? Some of them are months and months old, looking to reclaim some space :)

my guess would be unless you want to do this yourself, if you want this to work you need use nucleus (aka pay for it).

Just for my education, what is the purpose of using the nucleus repo for getting 5.3 if its unsupported, when we could just revert back to the core php53 or alt-php53 packages from Centos, Cloud Linux, or EPEL/IUS for free? also always wants to overwrite the atomic packages, and fcgid, and sometimes it doesnt even give us packages that work.
