upgrade rkhunter (yum?)

Unread post by webfeatus »

I have a VPS (openvz)
ASL is installed on the virtual so yum update takes care of rkhunter upgrades.

On host server:
Checking rkhunter version...
This version : 1.3.6
Latest version: 1.3.8
Update available

What is the easiest way to upgrade rkhunter on the host machine?
I do not want to run a full yum update (or should I?)

Would this do the trick?
# yum update rkhunter

Yes, you should as updates fix security vulnerabilities and other bugs.

I believe that I found some very useful information here if anyone else has this issue.
