Is there any good reason why the latest qmail update should obsolete
sendmail? I mean you also provide clamav-milter which just had an update??

Why would you want to have both qmail and sendmail on your system?

I don't, yum tries to obsolete sendmail with qmail because (imho) the atomic repo for RHEL6 is incorrectly build. Luckily this fails on my system because (among others) clamav-milter as provided by atomic naturally requires sendmail.

Can you explain what you did, what happened and what you think should have happened instead?

Re: qmail obsoleting sendmail
As I recall there is some overlap between the two packages, but you're right that shouldnt be tagged as an Obsoletes unless it really does obsolete it. That should really be a Conflicts. I think that is probably legacy from the previous maintainer. Anyway, updated in version 1.03-25

Thanks very much Scott, no more yum update --exclude qmail for me
