openvas gsd for CentOS 5

Unread post by mafalb »

Hi,
The openvas project tells us that there is a gsd Package for CentOS 5, have a look at
http://www.openvas.org/install-packages.html
I just don't find it, it seems. Where is it? Am I blind, or is above link wrong about this?

[quote="scott"]Sure just run:
yum install openvas

I did that. And openvas is working. But there is no gsd binary.
In the CentOS 5 Repository there isnt a package named gsd (for CentOS 6 there is, if that means something)
What package is supposed to provide gsd for CentOS 5, please?

Oh pardon, I read that as gsad (web interface), not gsd. There is no gsd for el5, its not compatible with that environment.

May I ask what exactly you mean with "not compatible with that environment." ? What are the showstoppers?
