gsad problem with mhd compiled without https support RHEL5

Unread post by digrouz »

Hello,

I was running openvas on a rhel5 server since a few month. Today I upgraded my server and I receive thoses errors.

Code: Select all

# /etc/init.d/gsad restart
Stopping greenbone-security-assistant: [FAILED]
Starting greenbone-security-assistant: MHD HTTPS option 8 passed to MHD compiled without HTTPS support
MHD HTTPS option 8 passed to MHD compiled without HTTPS support
                                                           [ OK ]
Then greenbone-security-assistant dies. How can I fix this?

I cant reproduce this on rhel 5, did you use packages from any other repos? Or override ones from the atomic channel?

You're right libmicrohttpd was updated with the epel version. I fixed the priorities between thoses 2 repos, downgraded libmicrohttpd and it works again, thanks!

More info on this, the gsad (web console) daemon is not compatible with libmicrohttpd versions higher than 0.9.15. Redhat & Fedora just released an update to 0.9.22 (previously they were using 0.9.7) on November 1st. As workaround for now you can downgrade to the older libmicrohttpd with:

yum downgrade libmicrohttpd
