PHP 5.2.10
PHP 5.2.10
I see some servers using 5.2.10. Is the atomic repository version out?
Re: PHP 5.2.10
It's in atomic-testing but it seems pretty stable so far. Been running it on my testing server for the past month without issue.

Re: PHP 5.2.10
anyone else want to verify this? I had heard a bunch of negative reports a while back so thats why it still lives in testing
Re: PHP 5.2.10
Hi,
I carried out the upgrade yesterday as part of an update with OSSEC issues I have posted elsewhere in the forum. Unfortunately for me my server also has Centova Cast running on it which is now broken.
There is a known bug in that version of PHP which causes it to crash when certain relatively common functions are called, including certain functions that Centova Cast uses. Here is the bug report in question:
http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=49052
The above bug report was given to me by the support team at Centova Cast.
Regards
Mark

Re: PHP 5.2.10
Have also just discovered this same bug affects WHMCS in the same way as Centova Cast, IE you can not login to the admin panel.
This bug is fixed according to the snap shot builds so will either need to downgrade or wait for the next build update by the Atomic guys. Do you do these Scott or only issue the next available stable/testing build as in 5.3.0 stable which has over 140 bug fixes and much more.
Edit,
I just noticed within asl testing repo you do indeed carry out intermittent rebuilds

Re: PHP 5.2.10
Those are for the ASL Web interface, not for the general OS.
Re: PHP 5.2.10
I questioned the host who have 5.2.10 running on their server and they immediately replied saying they were going to remove this and go back to 5.2.9 because there are issues with their cpanels, WHM, and the billing module they use... it was a mistake they said...
Re: PHP 5.2.10
Might be just as well to wait for 5.2.11 at this point since it's in RC1
I asked my team about problems with the internal testing server and they had not seen any. Guess we're just lucky but we're not running any control panels on it either.
