This report is a daily analysis of all published vulnerabilities in any product, weaknesses in technologies, exploits Internet wide, current internet threats associated with platforms and products our customer use, and if any action is required to protect their assets from these these vulnerabilities, weaknesses and exploits depending on the Atomicorp product they are using.

Please see this forum post for an explanation of the categories used in this report.

CVEs are sometimes created after a vulnerability is published (sometimes far after it has been made public). When CVEs are referenced, it is because a CVE was created today, not because an issue was resolved today, and it is included here for reference.

cPanel XSS, arbitrary code execution, sensitive information access and elevated privileges vulnerabilities (cPanel versions prior to 11.54.0.20, 11.52.4.1 and 11.50.5.2) - When protected by the ASL WAF this vulnerability is already addressed.

CVE-2016-3186 - LibTIFF 4.0.6 gif2tiff buffer overflow

Potential Vulnerability/Solution

PostgreSQL Query Plan Row Level Security Policy Issue - PostgreSQL contains an issue that could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to bypass security restrictions and perform unauthorized tasks on a targeted system. Updates are available. Users can also restrict access to portgres with the ASL firewall limiting access to trusted hosts.

cPanel XSS, arbitrary code execution, sensitive information access and elevated privileges vulnerabilities (cPanel versions prior to 11.54.0.20, 11.52.4.1 and 11.50.5.2) - When protected by a modsecurity reverse proxy and the default atomicorp rules, these vulnerabilities are already protected against.

Modsecurity can not protect against system level vulnerabilities such as the one below:

PHP <= 7.0.4/5.5.33 SNMP format string exploit. PHP users should upgrade to the latest version of PHP, 7.0.5, 5.5.34, and PHP 5.3 users should use the Atomicorp Nucleus PHP rpms.
CVE-2016-3186 - LibTIFF 4.0.6 gif2tiff buffer overflow - users of this version of libtiff should upgrade to the latest version. (At this time of this report, a fix was not available)
