Beta testers : AUM Rule installer

Customer support forums for the modsecurity rules feed. There is no such thing as a bad question here as long as it pertains to using the real time modsecurity rules feed. Newbies feel free to get help getting started or asking questions that may be obvious.

Beta testers : AUM Rule installer

Unread post by scott »

The first beta for the standalone Aum rule updater is now available for testing.

Basic Features

* Install mod_security on cpanel based systems (other platforms forthcoming)
* manage configuration files
* download and update rules
* configure rule classes in use
* upgrade mod_security, and itself
* manage rules based on mod_security version. ie: only rules supported by the current installed version will be applied.

If you have an existing rules-only installation using the legacy asl-lite or other rule manager, you will need to remove those first.

Installation

Step 1) Have a valid real-time rules account

Step 2)

For anyone that comes to this thread from google, aum is stable and out of beta (and has been for a couple of months, just not announced in this thread). You'll find the aum documentation at the link below:
