Ubuntu 20.04, Nginx, modsecurity and AUM

Unread post by concept21 »

Dear Atomicorp,
I am testing the free modsecurity rules and AUM on my Ubuntu 20.04 server.

I can download and run AUM without problem.

Since AUM does not understand Nginx, it installs apache2 and modsecurity2 by default.

So, my questions are:
(1) How do I configure AUM with Nginx?
(2) Do I have to compile modsecurity plugin for Nginx manually?

Please advise. :D

aum doesnt understand nginx yet, so for now you will need to download the nginx rules manually. We do recommend using our prebuilt modsecurity plugin for nginx:

Please let us know if you need any help setting this up.
