any best practice steps/tips to upgrade a centos4.7_32 Plesk 9.01 to centos5.3_64 Plesk 9.01
...with same ip address on the new server (at the end of the migration)

As far as I know you cant just upgrade from 32 to 64bit.
You need to install from scratch a 64bit CentOS OS.
