Plesk wont backup in ftp repository ! Backup broken

When I had plesk 9.0.1 plesk would backup in the remote ftp repository.

After the update on 9.2.1 it wont. It keeps the backups in the local repository and in the status I see failed.
It creates 0byte files in the ftp repository.

I get no error message in my email.

When I try to alter the configuration of the ftp repository or delete the files in the ftp repository I get this error :

ERROR: PleskMainDBException
MySQL query failed: MySQL server has gone away

I always follow the recommended procedures because I really dont want to have such kind of problems with plesk ...!
