SSH keys

Unread post by laughingbuddha »

I've always wondered, how do you create SSH keys.

My desktop is Windows 7, and I use putty to connect to my server.
Root account is not accessible directly, I use another login details to get in, then assume root from there, and there is only 1 SSH account, as I don't allow my customers SSH access.
The SSH port it locked down to my home office IP only, and all other access is blocked. But I would like to add keys to polish off the security.

There are two short videos that explain how it's done.

Well, one for keys and one for the agent.
