Error Upgrading php from 5.1.6 to 5.2.6 with PLESK 8.6

Unread post by NightMan »

Hi
I got installed a new server and upgraded all packages including php and mysql from your channel.

but When I try to install PLESK 8.6, produced an error saying I need to remove the mySql 5.0.x and Php 5.2.6, I removed these packages and PLESK it self added these packages with the Php 5.1.6-20.el5_2.1 and MySql 5.0.45-7.el5.
Then I sucessfully installed the PLESK and everything working. now my question is will the plesk break if I upgraded the php and mysql? if not, why it was complaing about this in first time?

kind regards
Nathan

limitations in their installer I suspect. Its very static, it cant really handle dynamic package updating.
