Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
Nooooooooooooooooooooo! (Mike jumps in front of Scott to catch bullet, no bullet is fired and Mike falls on the floor. Everyone stares at Mike as he dusts himself off)
Oh... I see, that was just your pen. OK, sorry my bad.
Yes, please go ahead.

Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
PHP 5.2 upgrades always used to work before, but as of this morning PHP 5.3 upgrade fails on CentOS 5.5 64-bit (with Plesk 8.6) with the following errors:

Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
Is incompatibility with SiteBuilder and thus Plesk 10 still an issue?

No, after discussing this with parallels they agreed it was more important to release PHP 5.3.x. I will refer all sitebuilder questions to them

My clients who using joomla are in deep problems with php 5.3
How to downgrade tot php 5.2
some of the joomla users see this error:
and if i say yum downgrade php
So what's the good way to downgrade only the php from 5.3 to php 5.2 and not the psa stuff (dependencies)?

Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
I recommend downloading the PHP 5.2 packages you had installed before the upgrade from the yum repository at http://www.atomicorp.com/channels/ and installing those using something like rpm -Uvh --oldpackage php*.rpm

Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
You can exclude php from your repo if you don't want to upgrade.Remik wrote:No one has any ideas how to fix this to install PHP 5.3?

Your errors are due to your running MySQL 5.0 instead of 5.1. PHP 5.3 was compiled against 5.1 (5.0 went EOL months ago). Upgrade to 5.1 and try upgrading to 5.3

Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
Breuns post above covers exactly how to downgrade to 5.2.
Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
Oh I know, I wanted the opposite - I wanted to upgrade PHP from 5.1.6 to 5.2.x. The Atomic repo before Apr.5 had all packages available and it has worked before without problems. As of Apr.5 it serves PHP 5.3 instead, and that's where I run into problems.Highland wrote:You can exclude php from your repo if you don't want to upgrade.
I'm running latest CentOS 5.5 64-bit and yum updates do not show mySQL 5.1 as available to download. The current officially supported release is still "Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.77, for redhat-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 5.1". I do see that mySQL 5.1.56 is available from Atomic, though, so I'll see about upgrading to that, just to get PHP upgraded (which is the only thing I really needed). Thanks for the hint!Highland wrote:Your errors are due to your running MySQL 5.0 instead of 5.1. PHP 5.3 was compiled against 5.1 (5.0 went EOL months ago). Upgrade to 5.1 and try upgrading to 5.3

Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
I assume you have more than just the base php package installed, so you'll want to downgrade those too, all in one go. And you probably need to reload httpd afterwards of course.

Re: PHP 5.3.6-2 release
Like php-cli and php-common ? So yousimply download all these rpms and execute the command. Offcourse then you restart apache and thats it ?
