Using HDD SSD with Virtuozzo/OpenVZ

Unread post by KrazyBob »

What is the recommended setup for running OenVZ 7.x as an OS installation using their ISO if I want mySQL/MariaDB on a 240gB SSD drive? The normal settings are /, /root /swap and /vz when using 2TB of RAID1? I need to tell my dedicated server company. This will be a web server using cPanel and Plesk. I realize that once I create a container THAT is were I would need the structure of using the SSD. But how do I map a directory of /var/lib/mysql in a multi-container environment?

Thank you.

I am surprised at no answer.

How can I use Virtuozzo on a SSD and then run the containers on RAID 1 or 5? Is it as simple as declaring /root and /swap on the SSD and /vz on the RAID drives?
