Customer support forums for Atomic Protector (formerly Atomic Secured Linux). There is no such thing as a bad question here as long as it pertains to using Atomic Protector. Newbies feel free to get help getting started or asking questions that may be obvious. Regular users are asked to be gentle. :-)

I wonder if it would be practical, without giving the bad guys a heads-up, for customers to be notified about significant rule additions or changes?

The IE6 one is a good example. Overnight no customer using IE6 can access the system. I rather suspect that I would have left it enabled even if I knew about it. BUT I would have changed the level to be 10+ because I don't want to be notified about anything less than 10.

Good idea. Perhaps some more details can be posted on the Twitter feed (which is very useful to keep track of ASL updates) at https://twitter.com/atomicorp ?
