ASL requires authconfig?

Customer support forums for Atomic Protector (formerly Atomic Secured Linux). There is no such thing as a bad question here as long as it pertains to using Atomic Protector. Newbies feel free to get help getting started or asking questions that may be obvious. Regular users are asked to be gentle. :-)

ASL requires authconfig?

Unread post by prupert »

We saw the following error on a CentOS 5 ASL 4.0.5 system while running "asl -s -f":
Checking for Superuser accounts (UID0)

sh: /usr/sbin/authconfig: No such file or directory
Password hashing algorithm: [FAIL]
The file "/usr/sbin/authconfig" is provided by package "authconfig", which is NOT installed on this machine.

Does ASL require this package? If so, would you agree that this package should be included in the "requires"-directive of the ASL rpm package?
